5. Discipline and Self-Control
Follow the coach’s instructions and team strategies.
Maintain self-control and avoid retaliatory actions.
Accept and respect decisions made by coaches and officials.
6. Appearance and Equipment
Wear the proper team uniform and maintain a neat appearance.
Take care of team equipment and facilities.
Ensure personal gear is in good condition and ready for use.
7. Health and Safety
Maintain a healthy lifestyle, including proper nutrition and rest.
Inform the coach of any injuries or health concerns.
Follow all safety guidelines during practices and games.
8. Social Media and Public Conduct
Use social media responsibly and positively.
Represent the team in a positive manner at all times.
Avoid any behaviour that could harm the team’s reputation.
9. Substance Abuse
Abstain from the use of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco.
Report any substance abuse issues to the coach or team management.
10. Anti-Racism and Anti-Discrimination
Treat everyone equally regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or background.
Do not engage in or tolerate any form of discrimination, bullying, or harassment.
Report any incidents of discrimination or harassment to the coach or team management immediately.
11. Responsibilities for Players Under 18
Obtain and submit parental consent for participation in the team.
Follow any additional guidelines set by parents or guardians.
Inform parents or guardians of all team-related activities and schedules.
Maintain a balance between academics and basketball commitments.
Abide by curfews and other rules set by parents or guardians.
12. Parent and Guardian Conduct
Parents and guardians must respect coaches, officials, players, and other parents. Avoid engaging in arguments or confrontations at games, practices, or team events.
Refrain from using abusive or offensive language in person or in messages.
Address any concerns or complaints through appropriate channels, such as the coach or team management.
Foster a positive and supportive environment for all players.
13. Conflict Resolution
Address any conflicts or disputes promptly and respectfully.
Use designated team channels to report issues, rather than direct confrontations.
Cooperate with team management to resolve disputes amicably and constructively.
14. Consequences of Misconduct
Understand that violations of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary actions.
Possible consequences include reduced playing time, suspension, or dismissal from the team.
