Time Commitment
There is a significant time commitment required for team practices and games. Attendance is mandatory, and missing sessions may affect playing time. There is no minimum playing time guarantee.
Parental Approval
As the parent(s) of a candidate, you give approval for your son or daughter to participate in all activities during the season, understanding and assuming all associated risks.
Medical Insurance
House of Fundamentals Sports Academy does not provide medical insurance. Participants are responsible for their own insurance coverage.
Membership Fees
- Open sessions: £35 per month
- National League Teams: £70 per month
- Practising across multiple groups/teams: £90 per month.
There is a league fee of £300 for the National League team to cover licensing, home game venue bookings, and officiating. The fee can be paid in instalments. All fees are due on the first day of each month.
Every member must have an active direct debit account.
Fees are non-refundable once paid. In the event of an injury or a serious situation that prevents attendance for a full month, payments may be paused at the discretion of the club.
Membership fees may be reviewed annually and adjusted in line with inflation.
Due to limited space, parents are not allowed inside the court area during training sessions. They may wait in the canteen area of the building. If a parent wants to observe, they can watch through the door.
Parents must not speak to any player other than their own child regarding behaviour, misunderstandings, or incidents. Any issues must be raised directly with the club.
Any unsupportive, aggressive, or negative conduct by parents may result in suspension or termination of membership. Parents and players are expected to protect the supportive and respectful atmosphere of the club on and off the court.
Media Policy
Only a staff member is allowed to take photos and videos during training sessions. Parents and spectators are welcome to take photos and videos during games.
Image Use Consent
By signing, you give consent for House of Fundamentals Sports Academy to use your images for commercial/advertising purposes and newsletters, following GDPR guidelines. You can withdraw this consent at any time.
Image Use
Your images may be used for promotional and informational purposes as specified in the consent form. We will not share, disclose, lease, or sell your images without your prior consent.
GDPR Compliance
We follow General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) rules when handling personal data.
Consent Withdrawal
You can withdraw your consent for image use at any time. We’ll stop using your images in future publications as soon as we receive your request.
Membership Fees and Session Payments
- Once paid, fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Refunds are not given for missed sessions due to personal reasons.
Refunds for Programs and Sessions
- In exceptional cases, such as injury or medical emergency preventing attendance for a full month, refunds may be considered. A valid medical certificate is required.
Merchandise Returns
- You can return merchandise within 5 days of purchase for a refund or exchange.
- Items must be unused, in original packaging, and in resaleable condition.
Refund Requests
- To ask for a refund, email info@hofsports.co.uk.
- All refunds will be processed within 10 days once your request is submitted.
Exceptions
- No refunds for cancellations due to bank holidays or events outside of our control.
Respect and Sportsmanship
- Respect teammates, coaches, officials, and opponents.
- Always show good sportsmanship.
- No abusive or inappropriate language.
Commitment and Attendance
- Attend all sessions unless you’ve notified the coach.
- Be on time and ready.
- Let the coach know early if you’ll be late or absent.
Effort and Attitude
- Give your full effort.
- Support your teammates.
- Accept feedback and work to improve.
Teamwork and Cooperation
- Be a team player. - Focus on team goals.
- Trust and support your teammates.
Discipline and Self-Control
- Follow instructions.
- Respect coach and referee decisions.
Appearance and Equipment
- Wear full kit to sessions and games.
- Take care of club and personal equipment.
Health and Safety
- Eat well, rest well, and stay healthy.
- Let the coach know about any injuries.
- Follow safety rules during sessions.
Social Media and Public Conduct
- Be respectful online.
- Represent the club positively.
- Don’t post anything harmful to others or the club.
Substance Abuse
- No use of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco.
- Speak up if there are concerns.
Anti-Racism and Anti-Discrimination
- Treat everyone equally.
- No discrimination, bullying, or harassment.
- Report anything concerning to the coach or club staff.
Players Under 18
- Make sure parental consent is completed.
- Keep your parents informed.
- Balance sport with school.
- Follow family rules and curfews.
Parent and Guardian Conduct
- Respect staff, players, officials, and other parents.
- Leave coaching to the team’s coach.
- Don’t argue or get involved in confrontations.
- Don’t speak to players (other than your child) about problems or incidents.
- Any concerns must go through the club.
- The environment we build must be positive and supportive—no exceptions.
Conflict Resolution
- Raise issues calmly and through the right channels.
- Work with the club to resolve things properly.
Consequences of Misconduct
- The club can reduce playing time, suspend, or remove a player or parent from the team or events if any rules are broken.
- This can happen without prior warning depending on the situation.
House of Fundamentals is committed to safeguarding the welfare of all young people. We have strict procedures and expectations in place to ensure everyone feels safe and protected at all times. Yunus Emre Yolcu is the Club Safeguarding Leader.
Safeguarding Principles
- Children’s welfare is always the top priority.
- All staff are trained in safeguarding and hold enhanced DBS certificates.
- Everyone is expected to report concerns immediately.
Procedures and Expectations
- If a safeguarding concern arises, it must be reported to Yunus Emre Yolcu.
- Any misconduct, abuse, or harm will be investigated thoroughly and, where necessary, shared with external safeguarding authorities.
- Members and parents must not take disciplinary or investigative matters into their own hands. - Parents are not permitted to speak to players (other than their own child) about any matter of concern. Doing so can result in suspension.
Protection of Staff and Children
- One-to-one training is allowed only with prior approval and in visible or monitored spaces.
- Physical contact is discouraged and should only ever be professional, appropriate, and explained.
- No member of staff should ever be left alone in a closed space with a player.
Confidentiality and Records
- All safeguarding concerns and actions taken will be documented and stored securely.
- Records will be shared only with relevant authorities or personnel on a need-to-know basis.
